About the artist.
Adam Frus began working with glass in 1997 in Jacksonville Fl. There, he developed his skills as both an artisan and an educator. His career as a fine artist began in 2007. Since that time Adam has worked extensively throughout Florida, Arizona, New Mexico and now Nevada.
Adam carries a Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences from Arizona State University, an accomplishment which inspires and influences much of his work today. He is also an avid rock hound, mineral enthusiast and martial artist.
The majority of work that Adam creates is inspired by Earth Sciences. "I try to represent Earth's processes with my work. It may be with color, design, form or even by incorporating actual minerals. The bottom line is that I want to encourage scientific conversation." To this end, Adam even offers educational lectures on the use of minerals as colorants in glass.
